Central Bournemouth, BH1, BH2 - One of Britain’s most-loved and scenic coastal resorts, award winning gardens and miles of pristine countryside there are multiple reasons why Bournemouth is the place to live. This vibrant cosmopolitan and bristling seaside resort boasts a 7 miles of golden beaches and stunning coastlines, combinedwithhistoric architecture, including the Grade I listed St Peter’s Church with World Heritage Site status.  The beauty is combined with a buzzing night-life, seafront hotels and B&B’s and a bustling high street with camaraderie between the shop owners and visitors adding to the quaint seaside charm.

 

Dean Park is an attractive leafy area in Bournemouth, with a number of excellent residential options. With a nearby cricket ground, as well as parks and a number of amenities, it is a highly desirable location for both families and single individuals alike. It offers a number of peaceful residential prospects yet remains well-connected, with the main Bournemouth rail station also a short distance away. A large supermarket is also nearby, and locals often praise how so many brilliant facilities are within an easy walking distance – if not the shops then leisure options such as the spacious and green Meyrick Park too.

 

Meyrick Park  - One of the most sought after locations in Bournemouth is Meyrick Park. A leafy residential area with 120 acres of Parkland at its core. Established in 1894, Meyrick Park’s Championship 18 Hole Golf Course draws golfers from all over Europe, in addition to bowling club, rugby, running, Tennis and hosting a variety of sports and events. Within easy walking distance into the town centre, Bournemouth Gardens leading to Bournemouth Pier, Beach and Sea. Bournemouth University is close at hand also. The properties in Meyrick Park are mainly flats and apartments, there are some larger detached houses but overall its a convenient area to live, leafy and green open spaces.  

 

East Cliff  is one of our primary areas the Bournemouth Clifftons office deals with. Its a fantastic place to live and one of the most sought after areas in Bournemouth, with tree lined roads, mainly pine trees with that distinctive pine aroma. Naturally, due to the position within Bournemouth this area is mainly apartments, many with Sea Views across the bay.

Its an ideal area to walk to the beach and sea, in addition to all the shops within Bournemouth town centre. The East Cliff area combines the best of a beautiful British resort along with comfortable residential living. Within walking distance both of the seafront and Bournemouth town centre, it offers a number of opportunities.The area is also recognised for its scenic views of the coastline and surrounding areas, meaning that property here is highly desirable. Christchurch Road is a convenient nearby thoroughfare offering a number of shopping and dining facilities, as well as frequent bus connections – making it especially ideal for students travelling across the area. There are also a number of a churches and a synagogue in the close vicinity.

 

West Cliff … situated, as the name suggests, to the West of Bournemouth pier and BIC and offers spectacular sea views through to Alum Chine. The area is a relatively small area, consisting of a leafy, quiet area with large Victorian and Edwardian houses, many converted into apartments. Further towards Central Bournemouth it becomes more commercial with an abundance of hotels and B&B’s.

 

Springbourne centrally located with easy access to Bournemouth train station and A338 Wessex Way. The area offers a wide selection of terrace houses and cottages. 

 

Coy Pond in Bournemouth offers some idyllic green spaces, complete with listed gardens and a stream. This makes the surrounding property highly desirable; nestled in a quiet community with quaint English charm. It is peaceful yet retains good connections and facilities, with Branksome rail station only a short distance away, Coy Pond is a desirable place to live.

 

Talbot Woods, BH3 conservation area, is a sought after location within Bournemouth. Its a quiet residential leafy area, most of the houses are large detached houses, many ‘Arts & Crafts’ houses and many with large gardens.

Situated centrally in Bournemouth, next door to Meyrick Park golf course, West Hants Tennis club in Talbot Woods and within a mile to Bournemouth town centre, beach and sea.

 

Westbourne, BH4 - In the heart of Westbourne is the Victorian arcade surrounded by a half moon one way system and is packed full of small independent shops, often referred to as ‘The Village’ due to the warm and friendly greeting by the shop owners. The relationship and high level of service they have with their customers means the national carbon copy high street shops fail to compete. A must see for any fashion guru. Westbourne has a range of interesting boutiques, cosy cafes, patisseries, fruit and veg shop, book store, dream bathrooms and kitchens, unique mix of clothing shops, antique shops, home interior shops and restaurants including Greek, Indian, Thai, Italian, French and English food. A shopping delight, Westbourne has become a fashionable and a popular part of Bournemouth.

 

Alum Chine is a peaceful and relaxing area, an extension to Westbourne, the Chine walk runs from Westbourne to the fantastic blue flag sandy beaches.

 

Boscombe, BH5 - A vibrant suburb of Bournemouth and popular seaside resort. The high street is the Boscombe Sovereign Centre with forty two shops and cafes and has a vintage market on the first Saturday of every month. Boscombe Chine, voted best large park in the south leading to Sandy beaches and Boscombe Pier, built 1889. Boscombe Spa area is on the south side with many properties having Sea Views. 

 

Pokesdown - consists of mainly Victorian houses attracting families with some good schools and is well known for antiques, vintage, and retro clothing, as well as Pokesdown train station which was opened in 1886. Located between Boscombe and Boscombe East. 

 

Kings Park is one of the largest parks in Bournemouth with a number of recreation and leisure opportunities. These includes athletics clubs and the notable AFC Bournemouth. It’s also well connected, with the A338. 

 

Southbourne, BH6 is a relaxed suburb of Bournemouth and a beautiful area. Located next to the sea with sandy blue flag beaches, a quieter retreat than the bustling beaches further along in Bournemouth. In the main higher street, Southbourne Grove has a number of independent and interesting shops with numerous boutiques and coffee shops, popular with local residents. South of Southbourne Grove is Grand Avenue, Southern Road, Stourcliffe Avenue and surrounding, tend to be large houses, B & B’s and Guest Houses, due to size of these properties, many have been converted into apartments and more recently replaced with modern luxury apartments.

 

Superb Sea Views along Southbourne Overcliff. Going a road or two west is Fishermans Walk and into Boscombe Manor with Shelly Park Tennis Courts. Below Southbourne Grove are detached houses and very popular with families. Going east, Southbourne runs into Hengistbury Head and Tuckton.

 

The Green Flag award winning 2.4 hectares, Seafield Gardens. These gardens are an open space just a short walk from the beach, and a popular place for families, dog walking and a children’s play area, bowls, tennis facilities and a Grade II Listed red brick water tower.

 

The sandy beach is popular with families and is ideal for surfing, kitesurfing and windsurfing, even paragliding is very popular here. Situated between Buscombe and Christchurch, Southbourne provides a distinct community yet has a number of relaxed residential properties. It’s proximity to a sandy and quieter stretch of coastline makes it an idyllic place to be.

 

Hengistbury Head, is a really interesting place. A local nature reserve, a site of Special Scientific Interest and international importance in terms of its archaeology, a Special Area of Conservation, Special Protection Area, Environmentally Sensitive Area, Site of Nature Conservation Interest, Green Belt and even scheduled as an Ancient Monument. From the end of the ice age and the Neolithic period, the stone age, the Bronze Age through to the Iron Age, Hengistbury Head being rich with iron ore. Hengistbury Head had and has, something for everyone. About a quarter of Britain’s flowering plant species grow here, almost a third of the UK’s species of moths, more than 300 species of bird live or visit and a national hot spot for stag beetles. It’s no wonder that property is popular here, and its exposed coastline offers stunning beaches as well as scenic views.

 

Tuckton, BH6long been recognised for its connections to water sports and leisure facilities and popular Tuckton tea gardens. Close to the river Stour, it is an attractive place with a number of popular property opportunities. It offers a quaint village feel without the pressure of the large towns, and this is upheld by easy access to nearby green space such as the Seafield Gardens too.

 

Wick. This is a village full of historic charm as well as a beautiful location, set on the southern bank of the River Stour.  It offers both man-made and natural beauty, home to a number of listed buildings, as well as close links to the surrounding countryside. The nearby Wick Fields are a key part of the Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve, deemed rich in ancient grasslands and allowing for scenic walking opportunities and a peaceful atmosphere. Wick Ferry, which is a passenger service dating historically from 1815 is close at hand. 

 

Boscombe East. A comfortable residential family area, mainly detached family houses with good local schools, in a leafy suburb. 

 

Iford. A popular property location, at a desirable proximity to both the river and open green space. 

 

Littledown, BH7, A mix of old and new. The older part of Littledown consists of large detached family houses, tree lined residential area and a large sought after development built in the 1980’s when the farmland was sold off to Bournemouth Council. The Littledown centre was built with 47 acres of Parkland, 25m swimming pool and leisure complex.

 

Throop is all about 'living the lifestyle'. The nature surroundings, bridleways and foot paths with beautiful countryside and riverside walks. Great for walking, cycling or horse riding. Good schools, good transport links, next to Castlepoint shopping centre, Littledown Leisure Centre and Bournemouth hospital. Throop is a desirable area to live with a quaint ‘village feel’, making it a peaceful and picturesque location to live.

 

Muscliff is actually one of the oldest settlements in Bournemouth, recognised for its historic charm. There is a strong sense of community, at the heart, ‘The Shack’, Tennis Court, football pitch, cricket pitch and play area, ideal for the active individual as well as busy families. There is a range of footpaths and bridleways connecting the community with surrounding countryside and the scenic River Stour. 

 

Charminster, BH8 - Its vibrant, cosmopolitan, family oriented – mainly family houses, some pockets of students in certain roads. The majority of the houses are Victorian, Edwardian, moving up to 1920’s. Recently house prices in Charminster are rising rapidly due to a shortage of family houses. Its great for access to the Wessex Way A338, Bournemouth train station is on the edge of Charminser, the town centre and beach / sea is a 10 minute run away. Queens Park. This area is a tree-lined, leafy area with interspersed green areas and close proximity to the golf course. Very popular and generally large detached houses. 

 

Winton, BH9.  CLIFFTONS is one of the leading estate agents in Winton and Moordown. Winton is a thriving suburb with a busy high street, all only about a mile from Bournemouth town centre. This means it offers its own unique and friendly community feel, yet is at a convenient location close to all the main attractions. Moordown has a strong community spirit and people tend to buy and sell staying in the Moordown area. The area is mainly occupied by families and the majority of properties detached. A number of parks including Victoria Park and Redhill Park. The area has a variety of detached houses and popular with families. Moordown has some good schools, St Walburgas Catholic primary School, Queens Park Academy, Queens park Infant School, St Lukes Church of England Primary School, Moordown St Johns Church of England Primary School, Linwood School, Muscliff Primary School, The Epiphany Church of England Primary School, Hill View Primary School.

 

Redhill & Northbourne. A well-established residential area, based within a thriving community with features such as Redhill common a Green Flag winner, featuring 7 hectares of heathland, grassland, scrub and woodland habitats. There is quite a few bungalows in the Northbourne area. 

 

West & East Howe. The area consists of schools, churches, youth clubs and a health centre. The local library also provides a convenient facility; ideal for both families and students alike, and the university campus is within easy walking distance. Rising interest in recent years has resulted in some new housing opportunities ideal for families, all at a good proximity to facilities such as Moore Avenue Community Park. There are also ready transport links, and the Bournemouth seafront is only a short drive away.

 

Ensbury Park, BH10A vibrant, largely residential suburb known for its excellent cycling connections; not far from Bournemouth cycling centre. This sense of energy can also be felt in the number of primary schools, high schools and churches in the area – there is a real strong community feel.  It is ideal not only for families, but students too, as the Bournemouth university campus is only a short distance away and there are regular nearby transport links to the town centre. Keen sports fans will relish the closeness of Bournemouth Football Club, plus the wide variety of parks and green spaces.

 

Kinson. Once a village in its own right, Kinson is now part of Bournemouth, though still retains its individual charm. With a quaint village green, a range of local amenities and a pub, with the added value of history – with St Andrews Church having origins in the Saxon period. It is also close to Pelham’s Park with excellent leisure facilities. 

 

Bearwood & Bearcross. Popular suburbs of Poole and contain a number of local amenities, including a supermarket and shops. The area also offers a wealth of educational opportunities including the popular Oak Hill School and a local nursery. With a number of stylish housing developments set on quiet closes and avenues, it is not surprising that this is a popular location for families. Magna Road is also nearby, a historic main road which ensures connections into surrounding towns and villages. It is also at a desirable proximity to a number of leisure facilities including Knighton Heath Golf Club.

 

Talbot Village. The closest location to the Bournemouth University campus. This makes it an ideal place for student living – and it is known for its safe community feel, with little closes and cul-de-sacs surrounded by a number of local amenities. St Mark’s Church and its surrounding greenery make for a scenic addition to the area also. Strong transport connections also make Talbot Village a convenient place to live, with readily available bus connections to both Bournemouth and Poole town centres.

 

Branksome Park, BH13It is an area celebrated for its walking opportunities; a peaceful suburb of Poole studded with local paths or ‘chines’ which take walkers down to the beautiful blue-flag beaches.  There are also strong local facilities including a sports centre and a small library, significantly adding to the sense of community here, which is relaxed and peaceful. The leafy Leicester Road area also opens onto the scenic Branksome Park bowls club and tennis courts. This combination of community facilities combined with the nearby coastline makes this a highly desirable area, recognised for its excellent residential opportunities.

 

Sandbanks. Crossing the mouth of Poole harbour, Sandbanks is a small peninsula with stunning views and some excellent opportunities for buying and letting property. It contains some of the most desirable opportunities country-wide; boasting beautiful sea views, stunning sandy beaches and a vibrant community. The Royal National Lifeboat Association is based nearby and emphasizes the historic appeal of the area, which is known for its quality residential options as well as tourist appeal. This means that although the area is self-contained it has good connections to surrounding areas, including Canford Cliffs, and Bournemouth itself is only a convenient distance away along the Banks Road.

 

Canford Cliffs. The area has many individual exclusive detached houses and it leafy and tree-lined. The 'village' of a high street as a relaxed atmosphere.
